Fake shops and marketplace ads offer wood and pellets far below these prices, take payment in advance and never deliver. Collect in person or pay on receipt, and read the warning of 5 October 2026.
How the prices are made
Prices. Each price is read from the seller’s own page or price list, with the sentence it rests on, and shown with VAT. A price list without VAT is raised by the rate it states, else 8.1 %, and the card says so. A figure the seller does not state is shown as not stated, never as 0.
Units. A Ster is 0.8 m³ at one seller and 1.2 loose m³ at another. We convert your amount only through the m³ or kg the seller states for its own unit; where it states none, the card says so and has no delivered total.
Delivery. Sellers bill it by postcode, distance, zone, order size, per unit or per kilometre. We apply the seller’s own rule to your postcode and amount. Near the edge of a zone (within 2 km) the seller may bill the next one, and the card says so. Where the seller states no fee, the offer has no delivered total and is listed after the others.
Energy. Pellets 4.8 kWh per kg (proPellets.ch, price index, read 23.10.2026); heating oil 10 kWh per litre. Logs per stacked m³ at 15 % water: beech 1907, oak 1951, birch 1798, pine 1533, spruce 1348 kWh (LWF Bayern, Merkblatt 20 (07.2025), read 23.10.2026). CHF per MWh is shown only where the species and the dryness are stated.
Distances. Route distance from OpenStreetMap, not official. © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL, licence. They run between the centres of two municipalities, from the seller’s depot to yours.
